HAPPY NEW YEAR!
So, here is my verse for 2017—-20:17 in the book of Luke—– Jesus looked directly at them and asked, “Then what is the meaning of that which is written: “‘The stone the builders rejected has become the capstone’?”
Three things come to mind for me in that verse as I think about living each and every day of this new year to the fullest:
I want to LOOK DIRECTLY at people, like Jesus did. Not over or under them. Not beyond them. Not with one eye on my cell phone and one eye on them. Not with blank gaze while my thoughts are elsewhere. I want to be directly with people, engaging with level eye contact and “great commandment” love (Matt. 22:34-40).
I want to seize every opportunity to talk about THAT WHICH IS WRITTEN. I want to know the Bible better and share the Bible better with a “great commission” heart (Matt. 28:18-20).
I want to build my life every day on Jesus as the CORNERSTONE (capstone). That each and every day will be an opportunity to put another rock on the building of my life in Jesus.
These are my desires for the coming year. What are yours?
This would be a great year to get a coach to encourage you and help you get there!
